Student information
Student names stay in your browser. When you write a comment, ReportWriter receives only the grade, subject, mark or ratings, the pronouns you chose, the length of the student's name, and any evidence note you type (for example "the cell diagram project"). The comment comes back with a placeholder, and your browser fills in the name.
If you turn on "Save my class lists in my account", your class lists, marks and comments are stored with your account so they appear on any computer where you sign in. This is off unless you choose it, and switching back to "On this computer only" deletes the copy stored with your account. Check that this option fits your school board's privacy rules before using it.
Your account
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and a Google account ID. We use them to keep track of your access, free comments and sharing link. We do not see or store your Google password.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of each payment (amount, date and Stripe reference) so we know when your access ends.
Cookies
We use two cookies: one that counts free comments on your computer, and one that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your information. We use Cloudflare (hosting), Google (sign-in) and Stripe (payments) to run the service.
Deleting your data
Email help@reportwriter.ca from the address you signed in with and we will delete your account and any saved class lists.
